Bristol, England native Stuart “Proper Job” Mclellan, may be KU DE TA’s most recent addition but his broad knowledge of music and impressive array of accomplishments have already clearly established his role on the roster as master of the deep.
Stuart began spinning over 20 years in London where he also set up influential independent house and techno label Pacific Records in the mid-90s. He developed a solid reputation playing gigs throughout the UK and then sailed across the Channel to France to man the decks as captain of the “Cake & Milk” Sunday boat party aboard the Batofar that hosted talents such as Gilles Peterson and Laurent Garnier. With Paris as a hub Stuart roved the continent playing clubs and festivals from Ibiza to Antwerp until his move to Bali where he currently represents a range of genres from rare groove to nu-disco as colourful as the sunsets at KU DE TA.
