After threatening to abandon the music world, Lily Allen's taken her first step into real life, announcing plans to open a vintage clothing store with her sister.
For months now, Lily's been adamant she's taking time out from music, even telling Australian fans during her recent tour that those could be her last shows ever Down Under. With nothing scheduled after March dates alongside Dizzee Rascal, it looks like Lily may be sticking to her guns.
News has now emerged that Lily's planning on opening a vintage clothing store with her sister. The Daily Mail quotes Lily as saying:
"I'm helping Wayne out with this first of all and then I'm opening up a shop with my sister and a couple of other people and I'm really busy. I'm in the office every day, sourcing clothes and getting really excited about my new venture."
The shop isn't your usual vintage shop, however, offering customers the opportunity to rent vintage attire rather than purchasing items outright.
Speaking with NME, Lily revealed:
"It's amazing stuff that would be really expensive but we're renting it [out] for a fraction of the price, so girls can come and get dressed up for a night out and have a laugh."
With an obvious passion for fashion, we wish Lily all the best. Let's just hope she doesn't completely put music on the backburner. She was just getting exceptional.
