Last night Kylie Minogue unveiled plans to release her eleventh studio album, Aphrodite, in July.
The announcement, made via her official website, drew enough interest from fans to overload the site, causing a period of downtime.
The site regained it's feet, however, confirming a release date of July 5 for her album Aphrodite, which will be preceded a week earlier by lead single "All The Lovers" on June 28.

Aphrodite will be a welcomed return from Kylie, and sees her writing with some of today's finest musicians, including Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears, Calvin Harris, Nerina Pallot and Keane’s Tim Rice-Oxley.
While discussing Aphrodite, Kylie explained the decision to release "All The Lovers" as the album's lead single:
"The single was one of the last tracks to be written for the album. As I was recording it I knew that “All The Lovers” had to be the first single; it sums up the euphoria of the album perfectly. It gives me goose-bumps, so I’m really excited to hear what everyone thinks of it."
The release of Aphrodite will see Kylie return to the pop world she has dominated for over 20 years.
