Kings of Leon have confirmed "Radioactive" will be the first single taken from their album Come Around Sundown.
An announcement on the band's website confirmed a video for the single would be available early next week.
Kings of Leon offered fans another treat, sharing a behind the scenes video from the set of "Radioactive" with Jared and Nathan Followill sitting down to talk about the new single.
"We started playing [Radioactive] around the time, right after we wrote Aha Shake Heartbreak," bassist Jared Followill revealed. "It was kind of in between Aha Shake Heartbreak and Because of the Times... We save songs until we get them right.
"Lyrically the choruses started out being kind of spiritual but the verses never matched up to them at all and it was a weird verse. We went into the studio and we tried it and it wasn't really working and so we were going to scrap the whole song.
"Then Caleb he kind of went back to an old spiritual song that we'd all sang growing up and it definitely kind of matched up with the chorus so nice that it kind of all worked out from there."
The video, which depicts the band playing the track alongside a gospel children's choir, proves to be a change in direction for Kings of Leon, but it's not one they're unfamiliar with.
"We grew up with this type of lifestyle. Gospel music was a big part of us growing up," drummer Nathan Followill explained.
"To be able to come back and revisit that part of our lives at this stage in our lives is a pretty special thing. I think after my grandma sees this video she'll... She definitely doesn't think we're going to hell as fast as she did think we were going."
Come Around Sundown is due for release in October.
