DAB+ celebrates three years

Celebrating three years of digital radio in Australia, this Friday August 24, a joint outside broadcast will be held around the country.

Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth will all be celebrating this milestone with the OB, which will focus on DAB+ in cars to reflect the importance of in-car listening to radio.

For some stats and figures, 34 per cent of radio listening in 2011 was inside cars.

Toyota Australia has partnered the industry in this promotion and is running a competition to win a brand new car as a part of the festivities.

The key objective of the partnership is to jointly promote DAB+ as standard in cars, as well as raising awareness of the fact that DAB+ is now a standard feature in Toyota vehicles.

I Have been Listening to Koffee in my car for over couple of years. I use my iriver mp3 / digital radio player. Absolutely brilliant ! Its all I listen to.
