Sorry... one more

Anyone remember Matt Corby... talented kid from Australian idol a few years ago... thankfully he didn't get too caught in hype... went away and played and wrote and popped up last year with this great folky sound. Hasn't been given alot of airplay but I love it.

What you'd expect to hear on triple J but doesn't get a run because of the idol stigma

I think Koffee are the best radio station in Australia. I work in a well known electronics retailer and we have it on all day. The mix is just about right. I would however, personally like to hear no James Blunt, John Mayer, Jamie Cullum or Michael Buble in the future:)

I would like to hear more Australian alternative pop such as Oh Mercy, Jonathan Boulet, Bird to Prey and more from Empire of the Sun and Lisa Mitchell, whose debut albums are full of great songs. Also both of Vampire Weekend's albums warrant more airplay, as they are brillant!!

Also more Canadian pop would be welcomed as it is not heard much on radio. Examples would be Tegan and Sara, especially their latest single 'Alligator' and great oldies like Gordon Lightfoot and The Tragically Hip.

We were sitting outside about a month ago, under the stars and listening to digital radio and happened to find Koffee. Wish we'd found it earlier, as we are now hooked on the music. You have (for the most part) an excellent play list. The new music is a definite attraction, plus some classics (not too many), which makes listening to your station a pleasure. Hope you don't introduce ads or an announcer, as this would diminish the laid back feel, you obviously work hard to create. Cheers

Thanks koffee for playing today such gems as: Avalanches "Since I Left You", Joss Stone "Spoiled", George "Special Ones", Josh Pyke, Bernard Fanning "Songbird", Cranberries "Linger", Mumford & Sons "The Cave", Air "All I Need", Arrested Development "People Everyday".
Also, love Gotye "Heart's A Mess" but much prefer the regular radio version (not this more downbeat one).

Please play LESS of Jack Johnson, Alicia Keys (she whines too much), Lily Allen, Moby and U2.
I love most of Coldplay's catalogue but you play them too often.
Over these 6 artists, I reckon I heard at least 18 songs (of theirs) over a 10 hour period today. That's an average of 3 songs per artist (which is quite ridiculous in a brief period)!

I agree with Astralman: play less James Blunt & (ironically) stop Jamie Cullum's "Don't Stop The Music" (reminds me of Rihanna's travesty of a sample of a M Jackson hit).
Play more Tegan & Sara.
Most importantly, please play more & varied alternative Aussie stuff.

In a previous message, I'd recommended you include this brilliant song, "Tore My Heart Out" by Mama Kin, in your playlist. Here's the youtube video:

I love it when you play new or rarely-played Aussie songs.
Please play these examples:

Temper Trap "Down River".
Cold Chisel "Sing To Me", "Four Walls", " Janelle".
Sparkadia "Connected".
Bob Evans "Power of Speech".
Gossling "Days Are Over".
Sia "Soon We'll Be Found", "Little Black Sandals", "You Have Been Loved", "I Go To Sleep".
Claire Bowditch.

Cheers!

I Agree with ocelot, and just to say love the music in general on Koffee. Have it on in the background on the internet in my office here in New Zealand.

Thanks koffee for playing such gems as Dido "Here With Me", Missy Higgins, Sarah Mclachlan "Angel", Jeff Buckley and Powderfinger.

Unfortunately, you had to spoil it by playing that dreadful Womack & Womack "Teardrops" (which is still played to death on commercial radio).
Also, "So Far Away" is quite a boring song. It'd be better if you DELETE this song from your playlist.
Dire Straits has many better tracks, eg. Private Investigations, Love Over Gold, Telegraph Road.
Thanks.

@Baldeagle52: Great to have you on board in NZ

@Ocelot: No one can challenge you on your energy and pasion for the music, I love it. I think all those Dire Straits tracks are good. As for songs that are on other stations, well there is always going t e some cross over with some songs no matter what we do:)

BrekkyDJ said: I agree with the above, though there are some 80s tunes that could be dropped.

NO WAY, leave the 80s songs, that's what makes it such a great station to listen to - they'e doing a fine job - leave it how it is!!!

Great mix, I listen all day on most weekdays and I love it. Although, you seem to play the same songs too often in that timeslot, mon – fri 8am – 6pm. More Live acoustic and covers. Thanks Koffee!

Melody Gardot followed by Jamiroquai is just a little too much of a shock to the system. Generally like your mix though and very happy to have found you on Sonos (had problems 2 weeks ago). Some Cassandra Wilson would be nice

Love the current range of music - keep it up. How about adding Colin Hay's "I Just Don't Think I'll Ever Get Over You" from the wonderful "Garden State" soundtrack?

Koffee is the Best Station in Melbourne and on the net for what they play day in and day out. Listen to you on the Net every day here in New Zealand. Keep it up and don't change a thing.

I love Koffee. Now that Nova is playing more than 2 ads i a row, i sometime switch over to listen to the easy listening. Plus it's commercial free.

Can i suggest to add Delta's old songs in the playlist. I have not heard nothing from her.

Also, Missy Higgins covered a Crowded House song. Can you play that also?

Hi godiec: The Missy Higgins song is "Stuff & Nonsense", originally a Spilt Enz song.
This track appears on the compilation "She Will Have Her Way" , and Missy's version is my favourite song on the album!! Great taste!
Other good songs on this album are "Pineapple Head" by Natalie Imbruglia,
"One Step Ahead" by Amiel,
"Distant Sun" by Brooke Fraser.
