Hi Everyone - 2nd post here.

I was thinking the other day, I was enjoying Koffee the other day, but something really stuck out to me - no news or announcers.

Not that I want an ex-comedian telling me dodgy jokes or a shock jock trying to get me fired up, but at least another voice heard telling me about the songs and what's making news.

So my idea is, let's look at the start of the day... if Koffee was to have a 'Breakfast program', what would you like to hear, and what wouldn't you like. Safe to say Koffee Breakfast would have to be different from everything else out there as the music dictates it.

hey why don't you send DMG a demo tape of your suggested program? even better, bring a sponsor with you and it'll get listened to!

Hi Martha.

Wish I could attract a sponsor - I've always been a lousy 'sales-person' so stayed away from that area in radio.

What I was thinking was trying to get ideas from the listeners first before submitting anything.

Why put up the same old DJ demos, I want to put an 'idea' in the heads of the Koffee people and re-write the rules to doing radio.

Example - News.

News has always been the same - At the top of the hour, headlines, traffic (from a generic source) and weather.

How can we 're-do' that?

Maybe have the DJ and the newsreader 'chat' about what's making news?

Plus instead of telling people where the traffic problems are... how about actually telling people how to avoid them (what roads to use)?

There's no thing such as a dumb idea - so what do YOU want to hear when you wake up?

I listen to Kofee at 6 am, get the news when I get out of bed at 7 am. Anouncers can be a big risk especially when they start to waflle on about their own lives, etc. The only ones that seem to work for me is shows like Ku De Ta Radio, Armin Van Burren (??), etc, etc. They are there to inform and keep the music moving, not fill airspace with their personalities.
