If you're a fan of alterna-rockers Garbage you're in for a treat. Shirley Manson, spunky lead singer of the group, reveaed on Facebook that the band is working together once again.

In a note posted on her Facebook page, Manson discussed yesterday's Grammy Awards, her love for Beyonce and an awkward encounter with Patti Smith, but ended her update with the news sure to make a few million hearts beat a little faster: Garbage have hit the studio once again.

Manson wrote:
Anyway.......
on a final note
Guess who I just spent a week in the studio with?
Would you be pleased if I said one of them was called Steve and one of them was called Duke and another was a grammy winning producer?

It's welcomed news for fans of the band. Garbage found worldwide acclaim in 1995 following the release of their debut self-titled album. Spawning a slew of hit singles including 'Vow', 'Only Happy When It Rains', 'Stupid Girl' and 'Queer', there was no looking back for Garbage. An additional three album releases and over 14 million album sales cemented Garbage as one of this generation's most influential and genre-defying bands.

After embarking on an indefinite hiatus in 2006, the band members pursued separate paths. Manson began working on solo material, which her label deemed "too noir", as well as collaborating with artists including Deborah Harry, Rivers Cuomo and David Byrne. At the same time, band drummer, Butch Vig, headed back to the production world, taking up duties with Green Day, Foo Fighters and Jimmy Eat World.
